Pol Castellano Escuder is the CTO and co-founder of Heureka Labs, a scientific discovery startup building AI agents, large data models, and multi-omics tools for data-driven hypothesis generation in biomedical research.

Previously, Pol was a postdoctoral associate at Duke University, where he developed unsupervised non-linear methods for multi-omics data integration. His research spans ontology development, statistical methods for metabolomics, and open-source software for omics data analysis.

Pol earned his doctorate in Biomedicine with a Bioinformatics specialization from the University of Barcelona, his Master’s in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the Open University of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona, and his Bachelor’s in Biology (Systems and Molecular Biology) from the University of Barcelona.
